|Teaching mixed ability classes
As soon as you get more than one student in a class, that class becomes mixed ability. Even if they are both, say, pre-intermediate, there can be a great variety in what they are good at and what needs most work on – one may be a grammar whiz, and the other very fluent at speaking. And of course, the bigger the class size, the more room for variation there is.
In this webinar, we will look at ways to deal with differences in our students, from goal setting to optimising interaction patterns, as well as achieving differentiation by careful choices of tasks.
