При успешном окончании обучения слушатель получает удостоверение о повышении квалификации государственного образца* и сертификат на английском языке от BKC-IH Teacher Training Centre.

* при наличии диплома о среднем профессиональном или высшем образовании.

Требования к кандидатам:

  • уровень английского языка C1-C2 согласно Общеевропейской шкале уровней (Advanced-Proficiency)
  • международная квалификация в области ТЕFL
  • опыт преподавания английского языка не менее года
  • наличие действующих групп (online / offline) и / или индивидуальных студентов (взрослые, дети)

 Course Outline

The BKC Course in Advanced Methodology serves two main audiences. It offers a high level methodological input, and many teachers seek this for reasons of pure professional development. Others are also interested in preparing for Diploma level qualifications such as the Cambridge Delta.
The course is designed to allow course participants to revise core principles from their initial teacher training courses and then extend this further, going more deeply into more familiar topics and broadening participants’ appreciation of what teachers need to know about the teaching and learning process. It also gives participants the opportunity to apply this new understanding in classroom observation and action research. 
Because of the latter component, participants should be actively teaching for the duration of the course. The wider the range of levels, class sizes, and course focuses they are involved in, the more participants will get out of the course, but previous successful participants have had many different backgrounds, from school teachers, and in-company business English specialists, through to freelancers dealing with 121 students, to university lecturers with an academic English focus, and those working in private language schools teaching general English.

 Course Structure

The course runs over 20 sessions of two hours each, consisting of input and discussion. These sessions will therefore total 40 hours (53,3 ac. h.). A further 30 hours (at least) will be spent on other work. 
Prior to each session there will be reading and sometimes tasks to do to prepare for the session. Afterwards there will be a task to complete, often involving experimenting in the classroom and evaluating that experience, but sometimes requiring further research. 
These post-session tasks will be written up and marked by the course tutors, and they form the core of the portfolio participants produce in order to successfully complete the course. There will also be a longer reflective assignment at the end of the course.
